Canvas is clean and beautiful showing only minor wear
Vachetta Leather has developed a medium light honey patina and shows minor wear and color variation.
Inside is clean and lining is in very good condition, however the minimal interior leather trim had gotten wet at one point and has developed a very dark patina showing creasing and cracking.  This in no way effects the function of the interior and the date code is still visible.
The interior and exterior pockets are all in very good condition.

Price guide for the Monogram Tennis – Sports - Travel Bag:
Under $499   These bags will have major issues, having cracks, rips and or tears or extremely dried out leather.  May need replacement of the leather, may have badly soiled interiors and in need of replacement.  May need zipper and or other hardware replacements.
$500-$699    These bags will show major wear with extreme wear to the leather, possibly some cracking.  May need zipper replacement.  Canvas will show moderate to extreme wear.  Inside interior will show moderate to major wear and may have tears. 
 $700-$1,199  These bags will show light to moderate use , both inside and out. May have had zipper replaced.  Canvas will show minor to moderate wear and may have minor repairs. Leather will show minor wear and or color variation.  Interior will show light wear and or markings.
$1,200–$2,000 These are very gently used and are in exceptional to like new condition.
 
Accessories such as a Shoulder Strap, ID Tag, Handle Fastener or Pouch;  these will add value to the bag and result in a higher price.  If these come to me along with a bag, I generally do not like to separate them.  Even though most sellers will do this for more as its much more profitable, my thoughts on these are they have managed to stay together this long, they need to continue their journey together. 
Also keep in mind that if a piece is a harder piece to find and there are not as many in existence this will play a factor in price as well.

Vintage Vs New Prices:
What some think on this subject is newer is better and yes that may have been the case once upon a time.  But with this Brand and I’m sure others, sadly the quality is lacking in the new pieces.  For instance the Canvas is the biggest thing that stands out to me.  Somewhere towards the end of 2013 the canvas changed in the Louis Vuitton Bags.  It’s now a thinner less durable Canvas as well as the color is not as deep and dark as it once was.  Thicker Canvas is more expensive as are darker color pigments.  These are obviously cost cutting things that large companies do to increase their bottom line.  The prices of the bags have not decreased when you buy them new, however they are not being made with the same quality materials and craftsmanship that you will find on vintage bags.  So of course the ultimate would be to own a bag made prior to 2014 with the thicker canvas and have it in exceptional condition.  With these vintage bags that is not always the case as the leather often gets dry and worn and show color variation in the patina which is why I’m including a “Determining a price point” Section in each of my listings now.  Basically if you cannot afford the top price point, the bag is still a very good investment as you can still use them and enjoy them !  And if someday you ever need to replace any of the leather , there are a few very good Luxury Bag Repair places that I can recommend that can replace any of the vachetta on your bag, all while increasing the value of that bag.  So at any price point these babies are a great investment and as time goes on and there are fewer and fewer pieces to made prior to 2014, the value of your bag will only increase.
